What is MARAC?

A MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a meeting where information is shared on the highest risk domestic abuse cases. Highest risk being risk of homicide or serious harm of which it would be hard or impossible to recover from.

At the end of each case an action plan is produced with clear risks, actions and timescales and these are shared with attendees.

How Cases reach MARAC?

For cases to reach MARAC a DASH (Domestic Abuse Stalking and Harassment) risk assessment would normally be used by professionals to ascertain the risk of Domestic Abuse. All partnership agencies in the borough have access to this form and a Domestic Abuse toolkit with further resources.

Further details about Domestic Abuse and support can be found via the following webpage including details of our boroughwide Domestic Abuse helpline for professionals, victims and others effected by Domestic Abuse.
